I tell Shell that I have a ski tournament coming up in 2 weeks that I would like my boat back for. None of those options works for me, the consumer. Because I would have to leave my boat there. It would cost that driving 8 hours each way times 2 times. Take it to the factory in North Carolina. I would try to fix it my self before ever taking my boat back to the dealer, let just leave it at that. Take it to some place 2 hours from me to get their opinion because the sales rep for Centurion trusts them. Centurion gave me 3 options because they don’t trust my service tech. I send pictures and follow up with phone calls to centurion and I am sure you can guess how the story goes from this point. Now keep in mind that this area is about 4 feet further forward than the prop/area that the boat was affected from hitting the submerged object. The impact was so bad that it busted a section of gel coat/fiberglass off the bottom of the boat. All of that is around the spot of this mysterious “impact”. There is normal dirt and grime that builds up in the bilge in places that you can not clean. You can tell it has been there since day 1. It looks like the V-Drive unit was dropped upon installation. It is an impact from the INSIDE of the Boat to the OUTSIDE of the boat. Upon the boat being repaired my service guy found a spot underneath the V-Drive unit. About 7 weeks ago we were out on the water we ski on and hit a submerged object. They even installed an underwater light for FREE for my troubles…After getting the boat back, the axle was bad and the trailer was sagging, but other than that it was over all pretty good. The Sales rep came and picked up my boat and took it to the factory for almost 6 weeks and went through the boat. Now this was after the dealer had made sure the boat was perfect.Īfter they had got this letter, I would think they did what is right. After I received the boat and upon further inspection, the boat was made with very little “Quality.” This is a copy of what I sent to centurion. My boat was an ordered boat, not one off the dealer’s lot. It took longer than normal to make the boat because they had to work out the kinks. It has not stayed out side one night when I have had it. Let me start by saying that my boat was one of the, if not the First production ’09 Model that was made. I will start by saying that Centurion has treated me right in the past and they have been very help full, but NOT this time. Let’s just say their warranty has found its next victim. I have read many of post on here regarding Centurions warranty.
